While I continue campaigning to be elected as councillor in Milton Keynes city council elections on 6 May, I have now been confirmed to be on the parish town council for Bletchley & Fenny Stratford (source: Milton Keynes council website).
Although I am not joining the council as a representative of the Milton Keynes Green party, my focus remains on working for a greener Bletchley (and Fenny Stratford).
I am looking forward to our first meeting and getting stuck in soon. If you are a resident, please reach out using the form below or on social media – I want to hear your about concerns and local issues 🙂
Wondering what the difference between Milton Keynes (city) council and Bletchley & Fenny Stratford (town / parish) councils is?
I did too and found the gov.uk website very helpful:
District, borough and city councils: These cover a smaller area than county councils.
Parish, community and town councils: These operate at a level below district and borough councils and in some cases, unitary authorities.
